Full protection
A service organized in line with Brazil's Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and the Technical Guidelines for Sheltering Children and Adolescents.
São Roque · São Paulo · OSCIP since 2001
We are a social assistance program run entirely by volunteers. We shelter children and teens placed under protective measures and support families in extreme vulnerability. The city agreement covers salaries and rent only — everything else comes from donations.

We receive no funding to cover the costs of Mãos Solidárias and PAE: everything comes from selling handicrafts made by the mothers and volunteers, from events, and from the generosity of donors.

Why your gift is essential
We hold an agreement with the São Roque City Hall, but those funds only cover salaries, payroll charges and rent. Water, electricity, phone, cleaning and hygiene supplies, clothing, furniture, appliances and building maintenance come exclusively from our own resources: donations and events.

A direct donation to P.A.S. is not deductible from Brazilian income tax — the Receita Federal states this explicitly. Companies taxed under Lucro Real may deduct donations to non-profit civil entities up to 2% of operating profit. See each rule with its official source.
